About this project

Why a food blog? Why the recipes? Why now?

Food brings us together here in our home. We sit down together for dinner every weeknight. There are no exceptions. This time is precious to me, and to us as a family.

Awhile back this blog was started for my eldest daughter who left for France for half the year to study and was cooking on her own. I wanted her to have a place to visit, to feel at home, to grab an idea and to make it into her own.

It has continued sporadically to document some simple recipes that both my daughters can refer to when they have the need for some homey foods.

I hope you enjoy the recipes, however, please do not reproduce anything here, photographic or written - without written permission from me. (susan [at]susanschwake.com)
