Tuesday: An apple a day ...

Wishing it would keep the flu away, but no. It didn't here today.
But I can still offer this applesauce to you today.
Cut up six or more apples into a large saucepan. Do not add water, just add some cinnamon,
nutmeg, and a dash of sugar if you want to...
Stir them and stir them until smooth, smooshing them down as you go!
Eat warm or cool and will keep for a few days in the fridge.

  1. this is awesome. i never knew applesauce was so simple...granted it looks a little labor intensive w/ all the stirring and smooshing. but how cool. thanks for sharing:)

  2. i know, right? the first time i made it it was like a huge lightbulb going off over my head! now I plan to do it each time i have extra apples or go to the orchard in the fall. it's good and easy. you can even freeze it if you make a ton and don't want to can it.
